Brief. Ripponvale Cherry Wine were seeking a high-class, minimal and modern brand that make their product stand out and be unique – just like their cherry wine. The design needed to feature something distinguishable that related to cherries (the tree) and appeal to their target audience: the Japanese wine market and young wine enthusiasts alike.
Strategy and end result. The branding identity is clean, luxurious and custom. I painted a watercolor cherry blossom tree to feature on all branding, and used classic type faces along with minimal color palettes and sleek layouts to give the brand a high-class feel. Both wine bottles (Sweetheart and Lapins) had gold foiling, embossing and overgloss to make the packaging really stand out on a shelf. This eye-catching packaging carried across the rest of their content too: Gold foiled business cards, letterheads and their website.
