Branding Identity – Outspoken Coffee

Brief. 
Outspoken Coffee is something very different: Nitro and cold brew coffee served on tap, off a tricycle. On the beach. The vision was to create an eye-catching and strong (just like the coffee) brand, that encompassed the unique product and complimented the beautiful surroundings of Waiheke Island.

Strategy and end result.
Outspoken: Strong opinions very directly. Spoke: A brace or bar in between the hub and rim of a bike wheel.
We developed the name Outspoken Coffee, based off the strong coffee and unique, bad-ass way it's served, and of course for a bike spoke. Given that the branding will be seen organically (peddling down the road) and that there's no budget for marketing, it was crucial to create bold branding that wouldn't date quickly. The colour palette is sharp and contrasting, and the typography is hand rendered to capture a confident stroke. The copy itself is also confident, but suits the laid back slang and terminology of Waiheke Island.
